At Littledale we encourage contact with family members and friends who have or have had a positive influence and encourage on-going involvement in your recovery.
Guidance for Visitors
Being a family member or friend of someone in treatment can also be quite a challenging and difficult time. Your family member or friend will have many questions about Littledale so to help them when they visit we recommend they adhere to the following guidelines.
Littledale has a large car park, once parked please let staff know you have arrived
Alcohol or drugs are not allowed in the centre or the grounds of the centre
Any family member or friend with their own addiction/s may only be allowed to visit if they have a positive influence on the resident’s recovery
Any family member or friend involved in the Criminal Justice system may only be allowed to visit if they have a positive influence on the resident’s recovery
Visitors under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will not be allowed in the centre or the grounds of the centre
Children are more than welcome to visit and the use of the family room will be made available if needed
If bringing money or gifts please hand these in to the staff office when you arrive
If you are having an offsite visit we strongly advise not to enter any licenced premises without staff agreement
If your friend or relative is attending your home they are not permitted to use any psychoactive substances and will be tested when they return to Littledale
Litteldale Hall has a child and family social worker who is available to support you with ongoing childcare or family issues.
Whilst you are a resident in treatment at Littledale you or your treatment practitioner can arrange:
Regular family visits
(normally Saturday or Sunday, or weekdays depending on need)
Weekly phone calls
Home visits by arrangement
Three monthly family information days
Regular progress updates with identified family members
Ongoing family phone support if required
