Programme Overview

The personalised programme at Littledale is distinctly different and has been designed to take account of the most recent research in the field of addiction and recovery.

The programme incorporates 4 key components (see chart) that we believe are fundamentally linked to gaining a greater understanding of what influences the choices we make. Each resident’s participation in these four areas will vary depending upon their own personalised needs and requirements.

Recovery. Time to learn, practise, reflect and practise again and again. The greatest gift to the ones you love is YOUR RECOVERY.

1. Understanding Addiction & Supporting Recovery

Learning about addiction and recovery from a personal and theoretical standpoint. This learning will help develop new neural pathways and offer opportunities to apply learning to personal circumstances. We want you to develop a deeper understanding of your addiction and what influences the choices you make using our unique neuro-bio-psycho-social model.

2. Relational Health & Wellbeing

Learning and developing positive relationships, building and rebuilding family relationships, re-establishing and  reconnecting with childcare resonsibilites and opportunities to practise what is learnt.

3. Everyday Health & Wellbeing

Opportunities to focus on: safety; self-care (including diet, exercise, sleep, leisure, stress management); life and social skills; pro-social attitudes, values and behaviours.

4. Trauma & Addiction

Identifying and beginning to address trauma that may have contributed to alcohol and/or drug addiction.

“My time at Littledale was worth every minute. I’ve learnt a lot and very happy with all care and attention to detail and taking an interest in my life and my wellbeing for my future. A very big thanks to all.”

– SH

“Seeing ex residents here today and telling what they have done since leaving treatment and how they have changed their lives around with help from what they have learnt from the hall. Like myself I learnt a lot from LHTC and getting support when I needed it.”

– MD

"I would like to say a big thank you to Littledale Hall for all the help and support that was given to me during my time there. It wasn’t an easy decision to seek help however LHTC saved my life [...]. It was the hardest but most rewarding experience for me. I now own my own home and I am back working with my brothers expanding our family run business. I would never have imagined I would be where I am today this time 2 years ago and for that I am eternally grateful"
